SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) - A cantora Avril Lavigne, 35, que já sofreu por ter a doença de Lyme, deu seu apoio a Justin Bieber dias após o cantor divulgar que sofreu depressão profunda antes de descobrir que estava com essa enfermidade.

Em relato grande nas redes sociais, ela compartilhou momentos dos quais passou e disse que há esperança. "Para todos os afetados por Lyme, quero lhe dizer que há esperança. Como Lyme é uma luta diária, durante quase dois anos eu estava realmente doente e lutando pela minha vida. Os dias ruins ainda vêm e vão. Eu precisava contar a minha história e poder compartilhar minhas experiências com outras pessoas", escreveu.

A doença de Lyme é transmitida pela picada de carrapato e leva esse nome porque houve uma grande concentração de casos na cidade de Lyme, nos Estados Unidos. O tratamento é feito em casa com medicamentos. Os casos mais avançados devem ser analisados com mais cuidado, e o diagnóstico é difícil, pois é uma doença facilmente confundida com outras.

Para Lavigne, é um caso muito sério e que precisa ser mais divulgado. "É uma pandemia global, mas não é uma prioridade global. Eu nunca quero que outros sofram da mesma maneira que eu sofri, e por causa disso agora é minha missão aumentar a conscientização e os fundos que ajudarão a erradicar essa doença que altera a vida", completou ela, sobre o repasse de parte dos seus lucros para fundação que ajuda no tratamento e cura de doentes.
